A home for a Pin

We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Several months ago we had a month of multiple birthdays in our family. Because my husband’s is listed in that group, and the best present to him is to not spend any money on him (he’s of the type that if he wants something badly enough, he goes out and buys it for himself and the nice family that we are, we let him.) šŸ˜‰

Because we wanted to give him something that he would enjoy without breaking the bank and making him irritated, we decided to spoil his sweet tooth and we made him a over-sized Candygram or card made out of candy bought at the store in the candy aisle.

After making it, I took a picture and uploaded it to Pinterest, and just like a previous pin that went gangbusters, this one has been pinned so much it needs a real home. Pin, meet home. Home, pin.

Here’s our Candygram to the Mr.:

It reads:
Dear Mr. Goodbar,
Happy birthday from your Sweetheart and your Baby Girl. Please don’t Snicker and call us Airheads or Nerds, but we know you sometimes feel the Crunch in life and we wanted to give you a FastBreak. We know a Symphony or shopping Spree won’t work, because you’d rather Skor a big Payday of 100Grand. You may think we are Goobers and sometimes want to Punch us because we are such Butterfingers! No matter Whatchamacalit, you are our Lifesaver and the greatest dad in the Milky Way and we love you to Pieces!
For $22, we made someone who doesn’t usually get impressed at cards quite tickled. He said, ‘wow, y’all did good and were pretty creative!’ (Little does he know it was a Pinterest inspired project!)
Ahh, Pinterest…my love affair is still going strong! Come follow me!
Until next time, I am wishing you all sweet dreams and candy kisses!
